Ancillary Areas

Alliance Leisure get involved in all types of leisure development which include not only the main facility areas such as fitness, spa, outdoor pitches, soft play, ten pin bowling but also all the ancillary areas as well.

The HAFOS survey stated that 23% of customers will leave a fitness facility due to poor changing rooms. So it is important that as part of any development the changing provision is not only but increased if appropriate but upgraded and enhanced to ensure it is of a good standard and quality.

Also due to DDA regulations many facilities are now non-compliant so as part of the ALS scoping of facilities, modifications are often been made to reception areas to make them not only DDA compliant but also more customer friendly and efficient.

The reception area is where first impressions are made so it is critical to ensure that this area looks professional and inviting.

Car parking can often be a contentious issue between the facility provider and the planning department, so plenty of forward thinking and early consultation is required. With the increase in any provision it is often necessary to not only increase the existing provision but upgrade it to include better lighting, drainage and even CCTV coverage.
