The traditional sauna and steam room has been in existence for many years without really progressing in the local authority and Leisure Trust market. However, there is now an increasing awareness of the health benefits from heat treatment experiences and with nearly 70% of people visiting their doctor’s surgeries with some form of stress related condition, the medical benefits of relaxation in tackling our ever increasing stressful lifestyles is becoming more important.
An accessible state of the art spa facility, which encompasses a variety of heat experiences, along with the opportunity for relaxation and rest, supported by client education and direction will provide a unique selling point for local authority facilities which will in turn create a new customer base.
Alliance were proud to deliver the first local authority spa at Pendle Wavelengths in Lancashire in 2009. The success of this site has led to Pendle Leisure Trust further expanding the Spa facilities in 2011. Read more about this development in our case histories section.
