Alliance Leisure has a variety of sales strategies and, following a sales audit to establish how the centre currently deals with enquiries and identify which personnel are involved, would discuss its findings and recommend and agree the most appropriate form of action.
Sales can be a very difficult process for staff to ‘buy into’, as culturally it is an area that many personnel / authorities have not been exposed to. Alliance Leisure takes a ‘membership development’ approach. The word ‘sales’ has many stigmas attached and Alliance Leisure works to dispel these myths and takes the fear out of it. It’s about helping people to make the best decision. In its simplest form it’s no more than a process.
Staff training and ongoing support is key to the success of any sales process. Alliance Leisure will develop a bespoke training package to address ‘sales’ and integrate a sales culture within the organisation. This usually involves the implementation of an appropriate sales system followed by group training, with specific follow up coaching sessions for individuals that would benefit from further training and support. For any training to be successful it is important that it has support – from senior management through to site level. All centre staff that will be involved with enquiries should be included.
Anyone attending an Alliance Leisure course will receive eight Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points towards their annual Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) requirement. The REPs accreditation demonstrates Alliance Leisure’s commitment to its leisure partners.
