Llantrisant Leisure Centre

Llantrisant LC was a tired 1970’s facility with outdated facilities. Located in a large catchment area it was in desperate need of expanding its health & fitness offer, which was the commercial driver for allowing the rest of the centre to be improved.

The £2.8m development at Llantrisant Leisure Centre commenced in September 2012, and involved a complete overhaul of the centre in a series of phases. Phase 1 included the development of a 90-station 450 sq m family fitness suite with state of the art fitness equipment including interactive bikes, dance mats and the first Life Fitness ‘Synrgy’ functional equipment in South Wales. This was complimented by a new studio and dedicated refurbished changing rooms.  Phase 2 saw the development of a new 394 sq m conference facility, which opened in January 2013 and the third phase which included a new swimming pool ‘Changing Village’, reception and cafe area completed in March 2013.
