In 2008, Tone Leisure undertook 3 fitness developments across its portfolio to improve the offering of each of its centres to local communities. An extensive programme of remodelling and relocation of services varied from around a £100k investment, to almost half a million.
Wellington Leisure Centre
This £98k development involved a small extension of the existing fitness centre by knocking through into the crèche.
Wellsprings Leisure Centre
A £276k development involving remodelling of the ground floor gym into a free weights facility, and supply of new Precor equipment on the first floor.
An existing gym was converted into a studio in this two phase £445k investment scheme. Two squash courts and an old studio were also converted into a new 75-station fitness facility.
“Alliance provided innovative solutions to project challenges throughout the three developments. Expert advice was always available, offering ideas that demonstrated customer improvements without increasing project costs. The Alliance approach is very flexible which ensured the results required were achieved within budget and on time, despite unforeseen building issues for leisure stock of this age. The process is very transparent with options presented throughout every stage of the project.”
